New album / Beavershot on www.myspace.com
It's almost there: the completion of the recording, mixing and mastering of our new album is close at hand, and damn....
we're almost speechless about the result! It's fuckin' brilliant: it raw, it's mean, it's load, it's everything you
need when you're in a sleazy, white trashing mood, drinkin' loads of beer being surrounded by lots of beautiful naked women!!
Patrick did a hell of a job in his studio 195, pushing us to our limits for seven days, and we feeding him beer and inspiration
for the perfect mix. Now the hunt for a label willing to release this master piece will start and hopefully we won't have to wait
much longer before we can release it. We'll put a sample on www.myspace.com/beavershot soon!
So yes, we've also created our own Beavershot account on www.myspace.com.
So more Beaverstuff on the web. Dave is managing this so it might even stay up-to-date!! Leave a note, become a friend and don't
forget to check out all our other friends!!

Beavershot sold!!
Last week Beavershot has been sold. Two guys decided it could no longer go on this way and put all their
money together and so they bought Beavershot. They've got big plans: want Beavershot to dominate the world
of dirty Rock'n'Roll, sell millions of records, doin' big stadium tours, sell lots of merchandise and that
way makin' big money out of the three beavers...
Unfortunately this is not entirely truth: they just bought themselves a Beavershot gig at an auction,
organized for the benefit of the SJJO (youth) foundation. Don and his neighbour Dennis are gonna organize
a party at the brand new Denniz' Bar, and we're gonna sleazy it up!! Should be somewhere this summer...

CD Recordings, new gigs
At last we've made a decision about the studio where we're gonna record our next album: it's gonna
be Studio 195 at Wernhout, wich is beneath Breda near the Belgium border. So at the end of March and
the start of April we'll be down south to put some loud whitetrash rock'n'roll on cd for ya!! There
are also some new dates at the gigs section, so we'll see ya'll in March!

New year, Swaf gig
First of all: a fuckin' great new year to ya'all loaded with sex, drugs and rock'n'roll!!
We're gonna kick off 2006 the 22-nd at Swaf together with The Gecko's and out friends the Dillemas.
Don't miss it, don't be late: the Dillemas are gonna be WILD!! The show at The Waerdse Tempel is postponed
to somewhere in March...

Breda Suckcity, 2006 gigs, new album
After 7 weeks we're hittin' the road again, and we'll be goin' way down south to
Breda Suckcity!! A great festival put together by our friends of the Speedcocks.
Their guitar player Bas is going to South America for a year so it's also some sort of
farewell party. It's gonna be a hell of a party together with The Gecko's, Milwaukee Wildman,
of course the Speedcocks themselves and more!! So, come along and say goodbye to Bassie...
We've also got the first two gigs in 2006 confirmed: at the 16-th or 17-th of januari we'll
be playin' at a new club called "The Waerdse Tempel". A big new stage, and we're gonna test
it the roof will hold... At the 22-th we're playin' at our favourite bar Swaf. The other band is
not yet confirmed but we'll also bring some special guests: Fred, Boolus, Jurg and a
fabulous guitar player will present themselves for the first time in public with their
new band called "Dillema" (at least for now). Don't miss it: it's gonna ROCK! Last but
not least we're almost ready for recording our second album. We still haven't decided
yet wich studio we're gonna call home for about a week, but the decision is close at hand.
So hopefully the record will be released before next summer!

Please welcome: Seth!!
Yes, he's there... I can proudly present my new-born son, listening to the name of Seth!! Last Saturday
he took his first look into this world and decided to hang around for a while. Everyone's doin' fine,
besides of course the lack of sleep... Yep: "we're a happy family..."

New Beavershot logo
As you could see I've changed the "front door" of our website! It's got our new logo in it,
with the eagle. Stickers and a backdrop with the same logo are on their way, and I'm even
thinkin' bout a redesign of the rest of this site. But that will probably not happen
very soon, as I'm about to become a proud father again these days. So I'm about to
get stuck in diapers and loads of shit...hehe Keepin' ya posted...

Sabbatical September month
Sorry guys, no Beaver shows this month... We could've played an acoustic/low-fi set at the Zomerpop festival,
but we decided not to do so for various reasons... But don't worry, October's already got four gigs on the list:
a great "Westfriesland Rocks" festival at R17, a radio show at Podialand, a gig with The Apers and last but not
least: we're gonna blast Nirwana Dronten again together with the Remones!
I've put some reviews of our previous Nirwana gig online. A dutch column of one of our biggest fans, Shavers leadsinger Johannes,
taken from the WestfrieslandRocks website
and an english column from Marcella,
Nirwana's "Head-Rockbitch", taken from her weblog Shavergirl.
I know the links below with some samples of our new songs didn't work. Somebody (won't mention his name...) forgot to upload the actual samples...
Now they work! See ya...

KINKFM playin' Beavershot
Yesterday, the 3-rd of August, we've made our debut on national radio at the KINKFM station!
Every afternoon a song of a talented new band is being broadcasted in radio show
called Joke!. Well even if it was a joke, we still enjoyed them playin'
Whitetrash Cowboy. You can listen to it here (mp3)
if you've missed it!
I've also put some samples of our demo recording session of May this year online as I
promissed earlier. Listen to some samples of:
Mount Beaver Summercamp (mp3)
Shaved (mp3)
40 Bucks (mp3)

Swaf gig cancelled/Beavershot goes Dron(k)ten again
Due to some miscommunication our gig in Swaf at the 11-th of August has been cancelled, but we'll
be doing another show sometime later this year. Probably with TurboZekero,
some great motherfuckers doin' songs from, well guess who... And we'll return to Dronten later this year: the 15-th
of Oktober we'll be playin' with the Remones.
It's gonna be a hell of a ROCK'N'ROLL party, so make sure you'll get there in time!

Beavershot goes acoustic...
Hey! First of all my apologies for being (again) such a lazy "webmaster", and keepin' you guys waitin'
for news for such a long time... Let's just say I don't think it's very Rock'nRoll to spend my free time behind a
fuckin' computer... But I'll try keepin' you posted a bit more regularly.
Last saterday's Dronten gig was a blast! We had a special guest in MC's tourvan and thus also on stage, in the
person of "Mr Shaver" Johannes himself. We did a great, hilarious version of "Mount Beaver Summercamp" together,
and it ROCKED! It's a shame not that many people were a witness of this duet. Marcella took some great pics
of this, wich I've put on the site. Oh yeah, I've also put the Stairway pics online by the way...
In May we've done some recording of our new songs on our 4 track recorder in our rehearsal studio again. The
results are not bad at all for such a "lowfi recording". I'll put some samples online soon!
And last but not least: we're gonna do an acoustic show at "Radio Westfriesland" on the 8th of October. We
agreed to play there a while ago, but in the meanwhile they've moved to a new studio where they can't have
us playing at full speed. So they asked if we could do an acoustic show. And while listening to the acoustic/country
album "Must've been Live" from the allmighty Supersuckers, we didn't have to think very long before we decided
that this is quite a challenge for us. So, if you can receive "Radio Westfriesland", tune your radio to 103.9 FM
every saterday between 19:00-21:00, and you might catch us the 8th of October.

Four shows cancelled in May!
Howdy boys and girls, here some few lines dropped by yer favourite bassplayer of all times (no, not Lemmy...)
It's about time somebody filled in some lines for all yer hunry rock'n'roll-addicts.
We had some great shows last couple of months, all with some great bands. Our gig with the almighty Apers was
one big fuckin beerblast (well, maybe that's why we played so crappy), but it was a good rock'n'roll-night.
Last Saturday we had our 2nd Smash and Dash-show and hell, we played like the devil had taken our souls!!
(I thought he already did...)
May is a quiet month for Beavershows, due to some holiday business and Asmodeus Spain and USA-shows we had
to cancel four shows, but let's take a look at the brightside of this: Dim can promote us in Calella, in
Vancouver and in L.A., and I bet yer ass he's gonna do so..(if not:we must shoot him)...
The Beavershot Worldwide Domination is close at hand!!!!
SPREAD THE EVIL !!!!!

Beavershot review in the Penthouse!
Last sunday we played at Staddijk in Nijmegen with Judas Ville. The few people who were there
had a great time and so did we. On our way back home we stopped at a gasoline station for some
drinks, meatballs and of course some highly intellectual lecture. So I decided to buy a copy of
the february issue of the Penthouse, 'cause it had some "good interviews" in it... While going
through the Penthouse I got to the album review section, and, hey fuck, take a look at that:
we're fuckin' in it!! They reviewed our album "Kings of Dirt" and they like it! Now that's what
I call a great way to end a great weekend.
|
|

Some more reviews have been published the last few months on several websites/magazines. Here they are:

Happy new year!!
First of all I want to wish everybody a fuckin' great sleazy new year. This year started out alright
at Wogpop together with among others The Gecko Brothers! It was a great party: the twentyfith aniversary
of Wogpop showed that there's only one place to be the first of Januari! The 22-nd we'll be
playing at Parkhof, Alkmaar with Rock City Morgue: the band of former White Zombie bassplayer Sean Yseult
from the States. Be there...

New gigs, new pics, new songs!
Some new gigs have been confirmed: Nijmegen and Alkmaar have been added to the list. Alkmaar (Atlantis)
will probably be the last official Smash & Dash gig from the tour we busy rollin' out over the Dutch lowlands.
Also put some more (old) pics on the photo section AND a picture of our so-called manager "Regelneef Deef".
Damn, he's cool: mothers and fathers, keep your doughters away when he's in town... At Wogpop we'll probably
present some brand new songs, so don't you dare to miss that!

Unfortunately the gig at Nirwana this saturday with Peter Pan Speedrock has been cancelled

Gbob disaster...
Yesterday we've played our shortest, and without doubt most worthless gig ever at the Global Battle
of the Bands, in the Melkweg, Amsterdam. I guess we played less than 4 minutes, and apparently the stage-technicians
were so confused about that, that they forgot to turn on the monitor speakers on stage. And you know what
happens when people can't hear each other playing on stage? Total CHAOS!! Oh well, fuck that, don't think
we'll ever join a band battle anymore. Playing on lousy amps and no sound check: it's definetly not our
kind of game...
But believe me, the Rawk & Roll Monsterball is gonna be good!!! Lookin' forward to that. Have you checked
the movie-clip below yet?

Rawk & Roll Monsterball 2004!!
As y'all know, we'll be playing at the Rawk & Roll Monsterball at the Mezz
in Breda next sunday. Our first gig down south, and hell, we're ready for it! Dim has just
returned from his tour through the States with his other band Asmodeus, and can't wait to
get behind his drums again. Here's a great movie-clip of the Rawk & Roll Monsterball. But
first we'll probably gonna have our shortest gig ever at the Melkweg this monday. Get there
and give us your support!!

Yes... as you can see the new website has gone live today!! A brand new design, and a lot

And again some more reviews on our album "Kings of Dirt" and whatayathink: again some great reviews!!

local town De Weere: the Dorpsparade! Check 'm out:

On monday the 15-th of November we'll be playing at the Melkweg in Amsterdam where we're playing

CD RELEASE PARTY 2nd OF JULY AT JV ARGOS, DE WEERE
Finally the time to release our cd "Kings of Dirt" has come: at the 2nd of July we'll have a
great party at Jv Argos
in De Weere. Together with another band(s) we like (can't give any names yet: nothing is confirmed at this point)
we're gonna have a hell of a party and of course you're all invited. At last you can buy the CD that's
been missing for so long in your cd-collection: the best Whitetrash Rock 'n Roll album from the lowlands!
BEAVERSHOT PLAYING AT THE "ZWARTE CROSS" FESTIVAL
Fuckin' great news from the east: we're invited to play at the Zwarte Cross Festival
in Halle (Achterhoek). A three day festival with Rock 'n Roll, motor races, stunts and of course
lots of beer!! We'll be opening the festival at saturday the 17th of July at three o clock in the afternoon,
so be there in time! We might even organize a buss trip to the festival so stay tuned...
And yes, we're also playin' at the Dijkpop festival. After havin' to cancel last year, we've been
invited this year to come and play at friday the 9th of July. And you can vote for us: the band
that plays on friday and gets the most support from the crowd, can play again on saturday. So
y'all know what to do on friday: get your lazy asses to Dijkpop and scream for more when Beavershot's

May 30, 2003
This month we've recorded our latest songs again on our 4-track recorder in our "rehearsal studio".
I'll put some great new songs on the music section of this site soon. Coming sunday we'll also be in a
"real" studio to do some recording. We might wanne use some of this recordings on our upcomming album
later this year. We will certainly put something on the site when it's finished!!
One year and three months after we recorded it, we've got a review on our demo "Wanna Go Fast?" in the music magazine
OOR. Lucky (the guy who reviewed it, and bandmember of some former bands we've played in) said we know how to write
a good song, but that it sounded a bit "untidy". And being honest, he's got a point there but hey, most of the songs
were new at that time and never even been played live before. He advised us to go back to our rehearsal joint and practice...
Well mr. Lucky, you could have taken some time to check out how we sound one year and three months later, after more
than twenty shows: WE'LL ROCK YOUR FUCKIN' BALLS OUT!!! I'll put the review on the music section lateron, but you'dd
beter just read the Car Kulture Deluxe review!!
We've got some new merchandise: two different T-shirts. They're realy good. I'll put them on the "Stuff to buy"
section lateron. You can order them by sending us am email or buy them at one of our gigs.
And of course some new gigs...

April 16, 2003
As some of you might know, there is, or actualy was, another Dutch band called Beavershot from Rotterdam.
They're a psycho-/rockabilly band, and to avoid some confusion (and cause we were smart enough to register
the name Beavershot as a brand) we agreed that they changed their name to 69Beavershot. So make sure BEAVERSHOT is
playing when you want to see US!!
Again some new gigs: check 'm out!!
|
